Fourth of July Family Service (Fri. Jul. 4)

Join us for a very brief and family friendly service outside of New Albany High School starting at 6:15pm. Follow the Temple Beth Shalom signs to our gathering area that will be slightly separate from the rest of the festival. Following our brief musical service and some schmooze time we will join the rest of the community at 7:00 p.m. for a concert, festival and fireworks! It will be a fun evening... guaranteed! BYOC... bring your own chairs! Bring your own picnic-style dinner or buy food at the festival. Come and meet the new Assistant Rabbi Benjy Bar-Lev! For more details or to RSVP call or email the Temple Office (855-4882, rsvp@tbsohio.org).

Meet Rabbi Benjy! (Sun. Jul. 6)

The congregation will be holding a series of informal events for members to meet our new Rabbi. Please look for one that is convenient for you. The first "meet the Rabbi" event will be an "open house cookout" held Sunday, July 6th between 1:00 - 4:00pm at the home of Joan Wurmbrand & Carol Fey (176 S. Merkle Road, Bexley Ohio). RSVP to rsvp@tbsohio.org or to wurmbrand@earthlink.net or (614) 231-9636.

Temple Beth Shalom Scrip Program

Scrip is a term that means "substitute money". When you purchase scrip, you're purchasing negotiable gift certificates and prepaid cards that are used just like cash. You can use scrip to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, and other essentials—and with every purchase, you earn revenue for the Temple. Purchasing scrip is an easy fundraiser in which to participate. You contribute to the Temple by making regular household purchases you would make anyway. Groceries, clothing, toys, gifts, even gasoline can be purchased with scrip. Check with TBS Scrip Coordinator David Neubauer (253-7654) for the latest participating retailer list, or visit www.glscrip.com. Then put your shopping dollars to work for the Temple!

Friendly Faces Wanted!

Welcome back to the Shabbat Greeter program. We are looking for friendly faces to volunteer to hand out prayer books and welcome members for Friday night services. You can volunteer once or multiple times over the course of the year; whichever works best for you! Sign up with a friend or family member. This is an easy way to get involved and meet fellow congregation members. Please contact Lynn Dobb at ldobb@columbus.rr.com or 895-7917 or Trina Moffat at tmoffat@tbsohio.org or 855-4882 if you would like to participate. We look forward to seeing your friendly faces!
