Each afternoon will be spent at someplace fun around Columbus like Zoombezi Bay Waterpark, Magic Mountain, the New Albany Swimming Pool, COSI, and more! It will be a great way to end the summer, brush up on Hebrew skills, and have the time of your life! Cost is $37.50 per day, $150 for the program; first ten to sign up get a $20/camper discount. Contact Rabbi Benjy Bar-Lev (rabbibenjy@tbsohio.org) for details.

An Invitation To Join The High Holy Days Usher Corps

The Presidents of the Temple, the board of directors and leadership of Temple Beth Shalom cordially invite you to be a very special part of the 2010 High Holiday Usher Corps For all High Holy Day Services held at our temple. Information and training will be provided by our expert team of professionals as you meet and greet congregants during these special days. Regrets only to Marc Ankerman (Head of the usher corp. 2010). Email at: ats@insight.rr.com.

Oneg Volunteers Needed

Please help sustain the longstanding TBS tradition of congregant supplied Oneg Shabbat (the snack after Friday night services). This is a wonderful way to connect to the TBS community and it isn't much work. You cut up a few veggies, maybe bake some cookies (or let Kroger's do the baking for you), possibly some cheese and crackers. You pick up a challa for the bimah. You come to services a little early and stay a little later to clean up. You visit with your fellow congregants, make a few new friends. What could be nicer? You want help, ask someone to share the work with you or I'll help you line up a partner. We have several dates available for the upcoming year. It's a nice way to acknowledge a family yahrzeit or a special event like a baby naming or an anniversary. Please help carry on this wonderful TBS tradition. Would like to participate but food preparation doesn't interest you? You can also make a cash contribution to the Oneg Fund and we'll have cookie trays and the challa delivered. Contact Miriam Siegfried (mcsfried@sbcglobal.net, 870-8707 evenings) to volunteer to provide a Friday night Oneg.
